Avoid this fine with this simple guide to reporting minor accidents in Abu Dhabi

Here’s a heads-up from Abu Dhabi Police: If you’re involved in a minor accident, move your car off the road ASAP or you could face an AED 1,000 fine and six black points on your license.

Yup, even a tiny bump can turn into a pricey problem.

Why the crackdown?

A viral video showed how easily minor accidents cause traffic jams, and the police are not having it.

But don’t worry – there’s a super simple way to handle it without wasting time or blocking traffic.

Here’s the quick fix:

  1. Pull over to a safe spot – no standing in the middle of the road!
  2. Open the Saed app on your phone.
  3. Tap ‘Report an Accident’.
  4. Enter your mobile number (it auto-detects your location).
  5. Upload a photo of your car, the other car, and your license & registration.
  6. Hit submit. Done!
  7. You’ll get your official accident report straight to WhatsApp. Fast, right?

It takes just a few minutes, and you’re good to go. No phone calls, no waiting, and no blocking up lanes.

Abu Dhabi Police are on a mission to keep the roads clear and avoid unnecessary delays. So next time you have a minor incident, don’t panic – pull over, report it, and avoid that nasty fine!
