This weekend, Yas Marina Circuit will come alive with the roar of engines as Emirati racers Saif Al Ameri, Fahad Al Zaabi, and Salem Alketbi gear up to represent the UAE in one of the most thrilling endurance racing events of the season; the 6H of Abu Dhabi.
Taking place on 18-19 January, this highly anticipated race promises an unforgettable showcase of speed, endurance, and fierce competition.
With over 50 entries confirmed for the final round of the 6H of Abu Dhabi, the 2025 edition will see teams from all over the globe battle it out on the iconic circuit, with local heroes Rabdan Motorsport hoping to deliver another strong performance following a solid start to the Middle East Trophy series.
After an impressive podium finish at the 24H of Dubai, the team enters the weekend with confidence and determination.
A proud moment for the UAE’s motorsport scene
Saif Al Ameri, one of the three Emirati drivers representing Rabdan Motorsport, spoke ahead of the race, expressing his excitement.
“It’s an amazing feeling to race for the UAE in such a major international event. Competing against world-class teams right here at Yas Marina Circuit is a proud moment for all of us.
“Our podium finish in Dubai was a strong start, and we’re aiming for another standout performance this weekend.”
Rabdan Motorsport will be competing in the Porsche 992 category, in the Amateur class, with the unique distinction of being the only team featuring three UAE nationals on the grid.
This presence not only highlights the strength of Emirati talent but also underscores the growing prominence of local motorsport on the international stage. Alongside Al Ameri, Al Zaabi, and Alketbi, the team will also have Austrian semi-pro racer Christopher Zöchling on board, making for a well-rounded lineup.
